Biography of Giulio Iurissevich
Italian-based artist Giulio Iurissevich began his successful career in the arts as a photographer and graphical artist. His love for photographic images led him to the world of computerized images, where he discovered his talent for illustration. He began creating art in 1998, after completing his studies in law, although he says that the passion for images and art has always been with him. Driven by instinct and inspired by the female form, Iurissevich’s work explores volume, geometry and color‚ reducing unnecessary effects and focusing instead on clean lines and forms. His work is severely abstract, with a strong urban street culture influence. Although highly unique, his style is also quite versatile, and he is equally at home with vector fashion pieces and rough urban street style. His inspiration comes from recreating the human figure, and his main focus is currently fashion, beauty and lifestyle illustration. He also credits music as another source of inspiration and energy, and is an accomplished guitar player. Blending his love for music with his passion for the visual arts, Giulio has created illustrations for independent music festivals, raves and concerts.
